FAQs
What makes Priya & Ithi piece "handloom"?
The saree, kurta, and dress in our atelier which is woven by hand on traditional looms by artisan weavers, are without the use of power looms or mechanised shortcuts. This means gentle irregularities in weave, weight, and texture are part of the story — a signature of human craftsmanship rather than a flaw.
How long does it take to weave and deliver a piece ?
Most in-stock pieces ship within 5–7 business days. Made-to-order or custom pieces are woven by hand and typically take 3–6 weeks depending on the intricacy of the weave and embellishment. We'll always share an estimated timeline before you confirm an order.
Can I customise the colour, size, or border of a saree?
Yes. Few of our weaves can be customized in colorway. Men's readymade Dhotis can be tailored to your measurements. Reach out to us with the piece you love and your preferences, and our team will confirm feasibility and any additional lead time.
We recommend dry cleaning for silk and zari-woven pieces, and gentle hand-wash in cold water with mild detergent for pure cotton weaves. Soaking colored cotton in crystal salt water before hand washing is recommended. Store folded in a breathable muslin cloth, away from direct sunlight, and refold along different lines every few months to prevent permanent creasing along the fold.
How do I care for my handloom saree or kurta?
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we work with bulk and trousseau orders each season — ideal for weddings, gifting, and special occasions. We recommend reaching out at least 4-5 weeks in advance to ensure our weavers can accommodate your timeline.
What is your returns and exchange policy?
Yes, we ship across India and internationally. Domestic orders typically arrive within 4–7 business days, while international orders take 10–15 business days depending on destination and customs processing. Shipping costs and duties are calculated at checkout.
What payment methods do you accept?
Ready-to-ship pieces can be exchanged within 7 days of delivery, provided they're unworn, unwashed, and with tags intact. Since made-to-order and customised pieces are woven specifically for you, they are not eligible for return or exchange unless there is a genuine manufacturing defect
Do you offer bulk or wholesale orders for events?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, UPI, net banking, and popular digital wallets. For high-value bespoke commissions, we also accommodate bank transfers — simply get in touch with our team.
